Andrew Hilton


Andrew Hilton is an actor, director, teacher and playwright. He founded ‘Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory’ in 1999 and has directed 39 of its productions at venues including the Tobacco Factory, Bristol Old Vic, Barbican Pit and on tour. Andrew began his career in 1972 at London’s Mermaid Theatre before joining the National Theatre in 1975.

Andrew has played many seasons at the Bristol Old Vic and, in 2013, was honoured by the University of Bristol for his services to theatre in the city.
