In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Good Grief, Bristol has been postponed. We hope to reschedule the festival for later in 2020, but this will depend entirely on how the situation develops – we may have to delay until 2021.

What we can say with certainty is that the festival is not cancelled, merely postponed: we are committed to bringing you our wonderful programme of events. And, sadly, we anticipate an even greater demand for it after the extraordinarily difficult times ahead. Please sign up to our mailing list or social media channels for updates, or check back here periodically.

Thank you so much for your ongoing encouragement and enthusiasm. We hope to see you as soon as it is safe to do so.  In the meantime, look after yourselves – and your communities.

We are very sorry to announce that we have made the decision to postpone Good Grief, Bristol until later this year.

We feel responsible to support physical distancing measures and protect the safety of the audience and contributors, in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

We are monitoring the rapidly-changing situation closely and will reassess at the beginning of June to see if we can hold the festival later this year; however, it is hard to predict at the moment.

Anyone who has bought a ticket will be fully refunded automatically.

We are of course a little heart-broken to postpone, however the enormity of the situation provides all the perspective one could need. It’s a worrying time for us all, and we hope you all stay safe and well. For those of you working clinically and therapeutically – a huge thank you for what you are doing for the physical and mental health of the country.

In the aftermath of Coronavirus, there’s going to be a huge need for the community to unite, recognise what we have been through and grieve for the lives lost. Good Grief will provide an opportunity and a space to recognise this.

Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement and we hope to see you in the Autumn.
